One of the most talked-about aspects of the film’s marketing campaign was its approach to female sexuality, with Wilde previously hinting that scenes between Alice (Florence Pugh) and Jack (Harry Styles) focus on a “type of female pleasure” not usually seen on screen. In a recent interview with Associated PressAnd the Wilde talked about this aspect of do not worry my love She revealed that she actually wanted to include more of it in the film’s marketing, but was told by the Motion Picture Association, which handles movie ratings.

“Oh, yeah. There’s a lot to get out of the trailer,” Wilde reveals. “MPA hit me really hard and on the trailer at the last second and I had to cut some shots, which I was upset with because I thought they took it another notch. But of course we still live in a really hardcore society. I think the lack of eroticism in the American movie is kind of New.Then when it comes to female fun, it’s something we don’t see a lot of unless you’re talking about gay cinema.You know, it’s interesting because in a lot of queer movies, female characters are allowed to have more fun.Audiences aren’t as hardcore as companies think.And with It upsets people. I mean, people are really upset with me because of this. I think it’s a testament to the movie.. we want to be provocative.. the idea is not to make you feel safe.
